About the Event
This course is intended as an introduction for women to come together and explore the topics that impact on their lives and through discussion and networking, identify ways in which gender inequality can be challenged and women can work together to bring about positive change.
Facilitated by: Bec Fahy - One of the founding members of the Phoenix Women's Centre. Human Rights activist and Human Rights monitor. Bec has a Masters in Social Policy and currenly works with TNC, on Traveller Rights and Health and is a Part time lecturer for UCC ACE, lecturing on Community leadeship, social policy  and  Community Development management.
Dee Keogh - One of the founding members of the Phoenix Women's Centre, Women's Development Officer for NEWKD, STEPS facilitator. Writer, Performer and group facilitator.
Megan Fahy - Megan has an MA in Women's Studies from UCC, where her research focussed on initiatives to combat sexual violence implemented in 3rd level institutions. Other areas of interest include hashtag feminism, the prevalence of rape myths in our society and the impact of gender roles on women.
